Aware of the urgent need to respond to the challenges of global warming, the Rémy Cointreau Group has set ambitious objectives as part of its "Sustainable Exception" plan. Working towards Net Zero by 2050, the Group is studying numerous sustainable transport solutions on all continents.

Rémy Cointreau is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement with NEOLINE, a company specializing in wind-powered maritime transport. 200 containers per year, i.e. 250,000 bottles, will be transported by sailing cargo ship from France to the United States, thus contributing to the decarbonization of our goods transport. The first ship is to be commissioned in the first half of 2024.

Maritime transport already benefits from a low CO2 emission factor (3 times less than rail transport, 13 times less than trucks and 74 times less than air transport). The innovative solution we have just adopted goes further by reducing the environmental footprint of transatlantic transport by up to 90%* thanks to the clean and renewable energy of wind.
