Renewi : welcomes Bruno Bruins as Chief Strategy Officer

Waste-to-product company Renewi is proud to announce the appointment of Bruno Bruins as Chief Strategy Officer. In this role, from 1 May 2024, he will be responsible both for helping to shape and deliver the Renewi strategy and for leading innovation, sustainability and relations with local, national and European authorities.

Bruno Bruins will lead the development and implementation of Renewi's strategic plans to grow, drive innovation and promote sustainability within its own operations and those of its customers, as well as to put Renewi at the forefront of the circular economy. He brings a wealth of knowledge to Renewi with a proven track record of running companies such as UVW and HTM and extensive political experience.

Sustainable and innovative growth

This appointment marks an important step in Renewi's growth ambitions. Bruno Bruins will lead Renewi's strategy and oversee the prioritisation of organic growth, inorganic growth and strategic decisions, always with the focus on promoting the circular economy, essential for future generations.

Positioning

In the role of Chief Strategy Officer, Bruno Bruins will also take the lead in positioning Renewi with policymakers. Both Renewi's intended growth in Europe and, more generally, a circular economy, depend on legislation and regulations. With his experience and network in Brussels and The Hague, he will be essential in shaping Renewi's European growth projects for a future in which waste does not exist.
