Riber recorded one of the best performances on the Paris market early Wednesday morning, following the announcement of a major order for three production machines in Asia.

The specialist in molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) equipment for the semiconductor industry reports that it has sold three production systems to a major industrial group in the compound semiconductor sector.

The "large-scale" order, in the company's own words, includes the supply of two MBE 412 systems and one MBE 6000 system to enable the customer to boost its production capacity.

The acquisition of a new MBE 6000 system, following the delivery of the first two units in 2022 and 2023, will also enable Riber to increase its production capacity for GaAs-based field-effect transistors (PHEMTs) for mobile communications.

According to Riber, this latest commercial success illustrates the company's 'total satisfaction with a repeat customer', as well as the market's growing interest in its production systems.

The company adds that this order testifies to its key position in the Asian market, where the semiconductor industry is one of the most dynamic in the world.

The order is due for delivery in 2024.

At around 9.15 a.m., Riber shares were up 8.9% in a Paris market up 0.4%.
