Rio Tinto Group reported production results for the fourth quarter and full year of 2022. For the quarter, the company reported Pilbara iron ore shipments of 87.3 Mt, increased by 4% compared to fourth quarter of 2021. Pilbara iron ore production was 89.5 Mt, increased by 6% compared to fourth quarter of 2021. Production of Bauxite was 13.2 Mt, increased by 1% compared to fourth quarter of 2021. Production of Alminium was 783 kt, increased by 3% compared to fourth quarter of 2021. Production of Mined Copper was 131 kt, decreased by 1% compared to fourth quarter of 2021. Production of Titanium dioxide slag was 323 kt, increased by 42% compared to fourth quarter of 2021. Production of IOC iron ore pellets and concentrate was 2.5 Mt, increased by 1% compared to fourth quarter of 2021.
For the full year, the company reported Pilbara iron ore shipments of 321.6 Mt. Pilbara iron ore production was 324.1 Mt, increased by 1% compared to full year of 2021. Production of Bauxite was 54.6 Mt, increased by 1% compared to full year of 2021. Production of Alminium was 3,009 kt, decreased by 4% compared to full year of 2021. Production of Mined Copper was 521 kt, increased by 6% compared to full year of 2021. Production of Titanium dioxide slag was 1,200 kt, increased by 18% compared to full year of 2021. Production of IOC iron ore pellets and concentrate was 10.3 Mt, increased by 6% compared to full year of 2021.
