MENLO PARK, Calif. (AP) _ Robert Half International Inc. (RHI) on Tuesday reported first-quarter earnings of $168.2 million.

The Menlo Park, California-based company said it had profit of $1.52 per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.47 per share.

The staffing firm posted revenue of $1.81 billion in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.8 billion.
