Salesforce, Inc. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended July 31, 2022. For the second quarter, the company reported revenue was USD 7,720 million compared to USD 6,340 million a year ago. Net income was USD 68 million compared to USD 535 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.07 compared to USD 0.57 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.07 compared to USD 0.56 a year ago.
For the six months, revenue was USD 15,131 million compared to USD 12,303 million a year ago. Net income was USD 96 million compared to USD 1,004 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.1 compared to USD 1.08 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.1 compared to USD 1.06 a year ago.
Salesforce.com, Inc. is the world leader supplier of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software on request. Net sales by activity break down as follows:
- online subscriptions sale (92.6%): applications for computerizing the sale forces, optimizing the commercial data processing, managing the call centres, managing the relationship with the partners, etc.;
- professional services (7.4%): consulting, implementation and training services.
Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: Americas (67.8%), Europe (22.8%) and Asia/Pacific (9.4%).
