Samse has reported net income (group share) of €41.6 million for the first half of 2023, down 22.8%, and operating income before non-recurring items of €56.4 million, down 18.9% with a contraction in sales margin.

Sales came to 1.01 billion euros, up 1.5%, including a 0.6% increase in the trading business in a less favorable economic climate, and a 4.8% rise in the DIY business.

The renovation sector seems to be holding up well, while the new-build market, and particularly that of single-family home builders, is likely to continue to decline significantly", says the building materials distributor.
