SEOUL, Nov 2 (Reuters) - South Korea's Samsung Display has filed a complaint against China's BOE Technology Group to the United States' International Trade Commission (ITC) that BOE misappropriated Samsung's trade secrets, according to an ITC document on Thursday.

It is the first time the display panel maker has filed a complaint to the ITC against rival BOE.

Samsung Display, a unit of Samsung Electronics, confirmed the complaint but declined further comment. BOE did not have an immediate comment.

The ITC document, viewed by Reuters, said Samsung Display filed the complaint on Oct. 31 alleging BOE violated a U.S. law covering "unfair methods of competition" including infringement of intellectual property such as trade secrets, in the field of organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display modules and components.

South Korea has been moving to toughen deterrents for leaking technology. Seoul-based analysts said China is the suspected destination of the bulk of South Korean technology leaks.
