Saham Assurance SA reported earnings results for the full year 2016. Net profit for 2016 had fallen by a 17.2% to MAD 282 million. Net profit results were affected by an exceptional tax charge of MAD 130 million stemming from a 2012-2015 tax audit, as revenues increased 16.4% to MAD 4.39 billion including a 113% increase in life insurance revenue to MAD 774 million. On the other hand, non-life insurance revenue increased 6.1% to MAD 3.6 billion.
