SATS Ltd. appointed Ms Chan Lai Fung as Independent Non-Executive Director Member, Safety, Sustainability and Risk Committee. Ms Chan Lai Fung is currently Deputy Chairman of NTUC Health. Ms Chan had served in various appointments across several ministries and agencies since 1987 before she retired from the Singapore Public Service in October 2023.

In 2002, she was appointed as the Deputy Secretary of the then-Ministry of Environment and subsequently Deputy Secretary of Ministry of Trade and Industry in 2004. In 2005, Ms Chan assumed her first Permanent Secretary ("Perm Sec") appointment in the Ministry of Law. She was appointed as the Perm Sec (Finance Performance) of Ministry of Finance from 2009 to 2012.

From 2012 to 2019, Ms Chan served as the Perm Sec of the Ministry of Education. Since 2019, Ms Chan has held concurrent roles as the Board Member of National Research Foundation, the Perm Sec of National Research & Development, National Research Foundation, the Perm Sec of Science & Technology Policy and Plans Office, Prime Minister's Office and the Chairman of Agency for Science, Technology and Research. With her extensive experience and background in education and national research, particularly in the areas of talent development and innovation, her expertise will bring added value and synergy to the Board and enhance the existing competencies and skills within the Board.

The Board has approved the appointment of Ms Chan as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company after having considered the recommendation of the Nominating Committee and having reviewed her experience and skillset. Ms Chan was appointed as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education from 2012 to 2019. Ms Chan has held concurrent roles as the Board Member of National Research Foundation, the Permanent Secretary of National Research & Development, National Research Foundation, the Permanent Secretary of Science & Technology Policy and Plans Office, Prime Minister's Office and the Chairman of Agency for Science, Technology and Research from 2019 to 2023, before she retired from the Singapore Public Service in October 2023.
