Sber has closed the deal to acquire an 80% interest in InSales, a platform offering e-commerce services, with 20% to be maintained by the platform's three founders and top executives.

InSales solutions enable entrepreneurs to launch and run online businesses easily and effectively. You can create an online shop, place your products on marketplaces, arrange sales across social media, product aggregators, messaging apps, geographic information systems, and other e-storefronts. This means that InSales can be a one-stop e-commerce source for companies that would like to organize e-commerce channels by investing as little money and effort as possible and boost their sales dramatically through comprehensive distribution.

Many small businesses have a strong need for e-commerce sales these days, but it takes great competence, time and finance to enter the e-commerce market on your own. InSales removes this issue for small companies while offering quality expertise and background in cases like that. Having closed the deal to buy InSales, we will unite our efforts and will be able to market a new product line for our customers that will be of a fundamentally different quality and meeting the present-day needs of businesses pursuing digital transformation.

Our plans include a further and active development of the InSales platform and its integration with financial products and other Sber ecosystem services for corporate customers.

InSales develops innovative software for e-commerce businesses in Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan. A leader among CMS platforms for online shops with SaaS model, the company focuses on medium-sized and small businesses. The InSales platform takes on the main technical challenges an e-commerce entrepreneur faces, including web design and content, administration, stock and order management, client communication, delivery and payment solution integration, and business promotion.

The D2C (direct-to-consumer) business model when a producer interacts with buyers directly is gaining momentum across mature global markets for e-commerce. For instance, 2020 sales neared USD 120 bn through Shopify, a global e-commerce leader, having doubled since 2019.
