ScandiDos, renowned for its advanced QA solutions in radiotherapy, recently participated in a well-attended user meeting in Spain. The event served as a platform for active discussions and knowledge exchange, with a particular focus on quality assurance for moving targets in radiotherapy. With inspiring speakers and an engaged participant base, the meeting highlighted the importance of innovative medical technology in advancing cancer patient care.

ScandiDos' user meeting was organized by the company's local distributor, Fimecorp International S.L., and targeted both existing and potential users of ScandiDos' QA solutions. The event brought together clinical experts and medical physicists from across the country to share insights and experiences with ScandiDos' groundbreaking measurement phantom, Delta4 Phantom+. Delta4 Phantom+ is ScandiDos' most sought-after product and is used in quality assurance of cancer treatments at over 800 cancer clinics worldwide.

With over 50 participants actively engaging in discussions and sharing their expertise, the user meeting provided an ideal forum for enriching understanding within the field. Held at Central Hospital De La Defensa Gómez Ulla, the meeting featured demonstrations of ScandiDos products in a clinical environment. Among other things, the hospital showcased its process for quality assurance of treatments for moving targets using Delta4 Phantom+ along with ScandiDos' motion platform, Delta4 Hexamotion. Quality assurance for moving targets is crucial as it ensures that radiotherapy treatments are accurate and effective even when the tumor moves due to the patient's breathing or movements, thereby reducing the risk of damage to surrounding tissues and improving treatment outcomes.

“The user meeting proved exceptionally valuable as clinicians actively shared insights and results. We are delighted with the positive feedback on our products and are grateful for the development suggestions we received. These requests will guide us in developing solutions to meet our customers' varying needs even better. Engaging with such a dedicated group of users was truly inspiring," says Gustaf Piehl, CEO of ScandiDos.
