Sequoia Economic Infrastructure Income Fund Limited announced that in accordance with its Succession Plan and having completed a nine-year tenure, the Chair of the Board, Robert Jennings will be stepping down and retiring from the Board on 1 January 2024. James Stewart, who joined the Board on 1 January 2022, will be taking on the role as Chair of the Board, with effect from 1 January 2024. James has a wealth of leadership, international and infrastructure experience across both the public and private sectors.

Between 2011 and 2021, James held several senior level positions in KPMG, including as a nonexecutive member of the KPMG LLP Board and chair of KPMG's Global Infrastructure practice. Prior to this, James was Chief Executive of Infrastructure UK and of Partnerships UK, responsible for supporting major infrastructure projects and the PPP program in the UK. James's earlier experience includes 16 years in investment banking, where he was involved in lending, investing equity and advising on infrastructure projects.

James is currently Chair of Agilia Infrastructure Partners Ltd, a Trustee of the Shaw Trust and a fellow of the Institute of Civil Engineers. James is a resident of the United Kingdom.
