Siemens Energy partners with Munich Security Conference to tackle global energy issues

Siemens Energy will be the main partner of the Munich Security Conference, the world's leading international security policy forum, highlighting the importance of tackling the energy issues which threaten global security.

As a leading energy company, working across almost the entire value chain, with a focus on providing access to reliable, affordable and decarbonizing energy to all people, Siemens Energy is ideally placed to provide valuable insight and advance discussion on the energy issues affecting humankind.

As part of the partnership Joe Kaeser, President and CEO of Siemens AG and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Siemens Energy AG, will be serving as the Chairman of the Advisory Council to the Munich Security Conference.

In addition Christian Bruch, CEO of Siemens Energy AG, will be appointed Chairman of the Security Innovation Board. The members of the newly founded Board will be announced at next year's Munich Security Conference.

Climate change is one of the greatest existential threats to humanity, evidenced in recent years by an amplification of global warming, as well as increasing frequency and severity of natural disasters such as floods, fires, and storms. With greater reliance on digitalization, physical and cyber security for energy assets is increasingly a concern.
