Société Internationale de Plantations d'Hévéas Société Anonyme announced audited earnings results and operating results for the full year ended December 31, 2016. For the year, the company reported total turnover of EUR 267.9 million against EUR 247.0 million for the same period a year ago. Operating income was EUR 14.1 million against negative EUR 1.2 million for the same period a year ago. Net income was EUR 9.7 million against loss of EUR 1.7 million for the same period a year ago. Net income, group share was EUR 6.9 million against loss of EUR 2.1 million for the same period a year ago. Net cash flow from operating activities was EUR 11.3 million against EUR 24.0 million for the same period a year ago. Rubber sales were EUR 249.4 million against EUR 225.0 million for the same period a year ago. Current operating income was EUR 18.8 million against EUR 6.9 million for the same period a year ago.

For the year company reported, total rubber production increased by +14% to 217.9 thousand tonnes compared to 191.5 thousand tonnes in 2015, driven by the increase in external purchases, particularly in Ivory Coast. External purchases represented 66.6% of total production compared to 62% in 2015.

The company also provided production guidance for the year 2017. In 2017, the Group is aiming for total output of around 230 to 240,000 tonnes.
