There are so many unknowns. But absolutely certain is the glorious uncertainty of live sport; how the ref will call an infringement, whether Jarvo will (unfortunately) crash yet another international event, how many million Indian cricket fans will unleash on Twitter, how athletes recover from crushing defeat and what the end result will be. That's why we love it.

So, what's in the sport locker?

The ICC T20 Cricket World Cup: we're in the semis! It's a big week for the short format. Live from 2.30 am, Sky Sport 1, it's the BLACKCAPS v England who have been in pretty strong form. Then it's Australia v Pakistan - the latter have everything to prove in this tournament. Friday 2.30am, Sky Sport 1. The Final will play out Monday (NZT) from 2.30. Then our lads head to India for 3 T20s and two tests - all live on Sky Sport, it's the summer of cricket.

There's a whole other world out there with some exciting sporting action featuring athletes who do not necessarily all hail from Aotearoa, in some fantastic events requiring courage and skill like no other: ICU Cyclo-Cross (Sky Sport 5 for the night owls from Monday 15 Nov), ISU Grand Prix Figure Skating on Sky Sport 8 from 4.30pm, Friday 12 November on Sky Sport 8 (all important as we head toward the Winter Olympics and play Bolero feat. Torvill and Dean for the squillionth time), and Bellator + UFC + Boxxer (Sky Sport 8, ESPN - this weekend) at very viewer friendly hours.

But it is GO KIWI!!! in the FIS Skiing live from Austria, Saturday across Sky Sport 1, 5 and 8 with the Women's Qualifiers Sat 13 November from 10pm and Finals Sun at 5am, with the Men's (Sun followed by Mon). Practise your German, as our feed for the qualifiers may not be in English (the Finals will be). Get set up with Duolingo and go. Fast = Schnell, That's crazy = Das ist verrückt, You are amazing = Du bist erstaunlich!

Here's a list of the Kiwis competing in the FIS series:
Alpine: Alice Robinson (former Sky Sport Emerging Talent - Halberg winner!), Piera Hudson
Freeski: Finn Bilous, Miguel Porteous, Nico Porteous, Ben Barclay, Luca Harrington, Margaux Hackett, Chloe McMillan, Anja Barugh, Gustav Legnavsky, Ben Harrington
Snowboard: Tiarn Collins, Zoi Sadowski-Synnott, Cool Wakushima

There's an awful lot of qualifying going on for the FIFA World Cup across multiple channels at Sky Sport - because there's so much on offer. These matches are interspersed with EFL, the FA Cup, La Liga, Bundesliga and Serie A with a good dose of MLS for extra value.

Golf has been hot for Kiwis with heartiest congratulations to Lydia Ko for this weekend's mighty result, and Steve Alker in the PGA TimberTech. So much more to come in the PGA and LPGA, mainly on Sky Sport 6.

Huge weekend for SVG in the shortened but jam-packed Repco Supercars series. He's frankly light years ahead of anyone else on points and will no doubt be going all out to maintain that position this weekend and the next - before the comp heads to Mt Panorama, Bathurst in December for a veritable festival of racing. Query? Do you have to be a Kostecki to race in Supercars?

Rugby. It's crunch time for the Black Ferns as they recover from two tough matches v England. This weekend it's France, 2.50 am Sunday morning, Sky Sport 2 and then again, same time on November 21, Sky Sport 1. They'll be using these matches to frame up their approach for the RWC in 2022. It's all to play for. Keep the faith. Make sure you check out the third instalment of All Access Black Ferns which features Les Elder. Absolute chills. Thursday, 8.30pm, Sky Sport 1.

The All Blacks will be looking to put a scrappy win behind them v Italy as they head back West to Aviva Stadium, Dublin, Ireland and on Sky Sport 1, 4.05am, Sunday 14 November. Then it's off to Paris for the last game of the Northern Tour v France, 21 November, Sky Sport 1, 8 am.

And there's every other test match you could possibly want.

But there's also a bit of NPC action. Yes, 2021 has been one for the ages and it would have been tough for Auckland, Counties and North Harbour, but there has still been some fantastic footy.

This week on the Breakdown, we talk to All Blacks captain Sam Whitelock from Dublin. We dissect a massive weekend of International Rugby. Black Ferns coach Glenn Moore zooms in after another big loss to England.

Shout out to Michael Venus - another superlative New Zealander who may well be striking out with MIQ but is NOT missing anything at the net. There is a fair bit of tennis on Sky with the Stockholm Open, the Next Gen ATP Finals and the Nitto ATP Finals.

Then live from the USA is a feast of NHL, NFL and NBA, rounded out with College Football and College Basketball where we can keep a weather eye on the talent coming through.
