2. Reasons for the dividend
SMC returns its profits to the shareholders, in line with its basic long-term policy of continuous and stable dividend.
Considering the recent business performance and financial conditions, SMC has determined the year-end dividend to be a ¥50 plus, which is ¥500 per share.
According to this, including the interim dividend of ¥450 per share already paid, the annual dividend per share for the fiscal year 2023 (ended March 31, 2024) will be ¥950.
