Spanish renewables developer-operator Solarpack that it has appointed Sajay K. V. to serve as the CEO of its division in India as it gears up for gigawatt-scale growth in the country. He will take the helm on January 2. Before joining Solarpack, Sajay filled the CEO position at BrightNight Power India. His background includes serving as a high-level executive at Hero Future Energies, Siemens Gamesa and Vestas.

Over the course of his career, Sajay oversaw the execution of over 7 GW of renewable energy projects in India and Sri Lanka, Solarpack said. In his new role, Sajay will advance ongoing investments, close power purchase agreements and realise Solarpack's plan to developer more than 5 GW of new projects in India. This plan will see the Spanish firm branch out into technologies such as wind and energy storage in addition to solar projects it has been known for.
