Vladivostok-based Automobile Industrial Technologies starts production of new Sollers ST6 pickup trucks. The first serially produced vehicles rolled off the assembly line with the Russian Federation Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov and SOLLERS PJSC Board of Directors Chairman Adil Shirinov in attendance.

The project of organising the production of pickup trucks in Vladivostok provides for the gradual localisation of these vehicles, in particular by installing engines and transmissions that will be produced by SOLLERS at enterprises located in European Russia. The use of Russian-made electronics is also a priority.

'Today in Vladivostok we gave the go-ahead to serial production of new Sollers ST6 pickup trucks, and in 2024 the company plans to launch production of another Sollers model as part of a special investment contract (SPIC). SOLLERS Group also plans to expand the model range of vehicles to be manufactured in the Far East. SOLLERS is the leader in the Russian market for full-size SUVs and light commercial vehicles. This is evidenced by impressive performance indicators - in less than a year, SOLLERS Group has launched 5 plants, three of which are carmakers, including the Vladivostok site. Production of car engines has recently been launched in SEZ Alabuga, with funding provided by the Industry Development Fund (IDF) as a preferential loan, while a transmission production project has also been launched at Zavolzhsky Motor Plant. Simultaneously, SOLLERS continues actively working on R&D, also using state support mechanisms for this purpose,' Denis Manturov commented.

'Relaunching serial production in Vladivostok and retaining the enterprise's unique professional team were among our top priorities for this year,' SOLLERS PJSC Board of Directors Chairman Adil Shirinov said. 'Today, we have made the first step in the new history of development of this industrial asset by moving into the pickup truck segment, which is one of the most promising in terms of growth potential in the Russian market. Our new ST6 model combines reliability, functionality and comfort to provide a wide range of uses for business, travel and outdoor enthusiasts alike. We expect ST6 to be in particularly high demand among Far East residents, and that is why we are offering preferential terms of purchase in the Far Eastern Federal District,' Adil Shirinov remarked.

Sollers ST6 is a universal solution for a wide range of transportation tasks. All-wheel drive transmission with reduction gear and high ground clearance allows this vehicle to move confidently on any type of road surface.
