Orange has named new chief executives at seven of its operating units spread across the Middle East and Africa. In all cases, the appointments are in-house candidates who have worked for the France-based telco for anywhere between 10 and 35 years. Jean-Luc Boh will take on the CEO role at Orange Mali, succeeding Alioune Ndiaye, who will replace Cheikh Tidiane as chief executive of its Sonatel SA.

The changes were made at the end of the terms in office of the departing chief executives as per the group's international mobility policy. The new CEOs will take on their new roles at the beginning of October 2012.
