SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP) _ Sonos Inc. (SONO) on Wednesday reported a loss of $8.7 million in its fiscal fourth quarter.

The Santa Barbara, California-based company said it had a loss of 7 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 8 cents per share.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 11 cents per share.

The maker of wireless speakers and home sound systems posted revenue of $359.5 million in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $351.6 million.

For the year, the company reported profit of $158.6 million, or $1.13 per share. Revenue was reported as $1.72 billion.

Sonos expects full-year revenue in the range of $1.93 billion to $2 billion.
