Soon Mining Limited announced new exploration results regarding the exploration work completed from April to October in 2020. Although COVID-19 has caused inconvenience and delays in all aspects of work, the company still carries out the exploration work in the Awusu River basin in Kwahu Praso concession. Based on the previous prospecting pits in the Awusu River basin, the company spread out the exploration work along the Awusu River for a total length of approximately six (6) kilometers, and prospecting on both river sides extended to approximately 200 meters. A total of 55 samples were sent to GSDT (Ghana Geological Survey Authority) for testing. The test results are very satisfactory. In terms of the low cost and high margin operation for open pit placer gold production, these are exciting exploration results. The average gold grade is 0.79 g/t, and the highest gold grade is up to 2.22 g/t. These test results has been handed over to geologists for further design of the mining plan. As stated in EIS (Environment Impact Statement) report, the company has already set this area as the company's first phase of mining activities.
