Stantec : welcomes energy expert Léa Tatry to the International Development team

Stantec is expanding the technical capability of the International Development team in Belgium with the appointment of Léa Tatry as Energy Expert. Léa joins a growing group of energy and climate change specialists in La Hulpe, that works hand-in-hand with international donors, such as the European Commission, to carry out energy efficiency and clean energy projects in developing countries.

Tatry's extensive experience in the field of energy access and decentralized energy generation, complemented by solid skills and credentials in strategy and economic modelling, will be a valuable asset to the team as they continue to focus on sustainable energy and electrification. The International Development team is heavily involved with strengthening the enabling investments in sustainable energy generation and directly supporting project preparation and investment mobilization, which will pair well with Tatry's background.

Before Stantec, she worked as a power market analyst for the economic studies and modelling center of an international energy utility where she led technical analysis and projects on climate change mitigation, electricity market modelling, and development of mini-grids powered by renewable energy for rural electrification in Africa.

At the beginning of her career, Tatry had developed a circular economy business service in Santiago, Chile, where she offered a comprehensive waste management program to companies and municipalities. During this time, she was able to improve her Spanish, further growing her language skills. Tatry, a native French speaker, is also fluent in English, and can get by in Russian and Japanese.
