Changes we're seeing in the steel industry

'New Zealand has seen a dramatic increase in demand for steel after the Christchurch earthquakes,' notes Rupert, 'as the way engineers commonly specify for seismic design has moved from concrete to steel structure. With its endless recyclability and recognised speed of construction, demand for steel is growing, and particularly for "green" steel.'

Nationwide

No matter the product, customer service is the underlying principle for the Steel & Tube Indent team, whose goal is to make ordering steel an easy process.

With Rupert based in Wellington and Tyrell in Dunedin, the team makes communicating with customers its priority. 'We are easily reached via the traditional channels or phone and email,' says Rupert, 'and we're spreading our wings to LinkedIn and WhatsApp to let customers reach us the way they wish. Tyrell and I also travel wherever we need to maintain strong relationships - putting a face to a name is a great way to conduct business.'
