Tokyo, June 1, 2022 - Subaru Corporation has announced the following organizational changes effective today.

E&C* System Development Dept.

Electronic Platform Design Dept.

(Newly established)

Connected Car Development Dept.

*E&C: Electronic & Connected

Electronic Control System Development Dept.

Battery System Development Dept.

Part of the Powertrain Design Dept.

(Newly established)

Part of the Vehicle Environment Development Dept.

  • The functions related to battery system development of the Powertrain Design Dept. and the Vehicle Environment Development Dept. have been integrated to form the Battery System Development Dept., which will mainly engage in developing technologies and processes to manage EV battery performance and reliability.
  • The Powertrain Design Dept. and the Vehicle Environment Development Dept. will continue to engage in the rest of their existing functions.
