Sunsweet Public Company Limited has applied for a license for narcotics in category 5 (Hemp) only with the Food and Drug Administration of Thailand. The company announced that on December 2, 2021, the Food and Drug Administration has considered and approved a license to plant the narcotic in category 5 (Hemp) only with license No. 149/2564 (Por) for commercial or industrial purposes, and license No. 150/2564 (Por) for the benefit of education, analysis, research, or breeding. The company is allowed to plant at Mae Wang District, Chiang Mai Province. Therefore, the company will continue planting following the defined plan. The crop is expected to be harvested in 2022 and the company will apply for other relevant licenses to follow the company's business plan.
