Super Retail Group announced that founder and Non-Executive Director Reg Rowe will retire from the Board, effective April 4, 2023. Super Retail Group also announced the appointment of Mark O'Hare as a Non-Executive Director of the company effective April 4, 2023. Mr. O'Hare was nominated by Mr. Rowe as his nominee Non-Executive Director.

He is Mr. Rowe's long-time business adviser and is the Chairman of the Advisory Group of Re-Grow Capital Group, which is Mr. Rowe's private investment group. He is an experienced corporate adviser with a strong understanding of the business. The Super Retail Group Board supports Mr. O'Hare's nomination.

Mr. Rowe founded Super Retail Group's original business in 1972 and served as Managing Director until 1996. He was Chairman from 1996 to 2004 and has been a Non-Executive Director since the company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in 2004. Mr. O'Hare will formally stand for election at the Super Retail Group Annual General Meeting on 25 October 2023.

Mark O'Hare biography: Mark O'Hare is an experienced strategic business adviser with a long-standing advisory role supporting Super Retail Group co-founder Reg Rowe stretching back more than 35 years. As a former partner with Grant Thornton, Mark has established expertise in the areas of business services and taxation. Having previously worked as a chartered accountant at Ernst & Young, Mark had three decades with Grant Thornton in the private business tax and advisory practice.

Mark is the Chairman of the Re-Grow Capital Group Advisory Group. Mark completed a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Queensland and is member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
