Tauron has launched a 37 MW photovoltaic farm in Myslowice - Dzieckowice, which is the first stage of an investment that will ultimately see almost 100 MW installed, the company representatives said during a press conference. The PV farm was built on the reclaimed furnace waste dump of the Jaworzno power plant. The main contractor was Tauron Serwis, who manufactured more than 82k panels by ML System.

The total budget for the construction of the farm was approximately PLN 164 million (EUR 37.7 million). The project received funding from the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOSiGW) for over PLN 82 million (EUR 18.9 million). Around 55 MW of power is to be built in the second stage.

The company is in the process of obtaining the necessary administrative decisions. The Tauron Group will have 0.6 GW of installed green energy capacity at the end of 2023. Tauron said that next year, it will complete the construction of another 55 MW photovoltaic farm and three wind farms with a total capacity of 120 MW.

The group has a dozen more wind and photovoltaic farm projects at various stages of preparation in the analysis phase. The group will have 1.4 GW of solar capacity in 2030, according to Tauron's strategy.
