Thales announces the signing of a contract with the Dutch government agency COMMIT for the purchase of seven Ground Master 200 Multi-Mission (GM200 MM/C) compact radars, with an option for two additional systems.

This acquisition follows on from the order placed in 2019 for nine of these radars.

' To protect critical forces and infrastructure, Ground Master 200 Multi-Mission radars enable greater Time on Target (TOT), high mobility, rapid deployment and long-range detection capabilities against smaller, fast and agile targets' says the group.

Gerben Edelijn, CEO of Thales in the Netherlands said: 'We fully appreciate the confidence of the Royal Netherlands Armed Forces in the GM200 MM/C radar, as evidenced by the acquisition of seven additional systems, with two more as an option. Thales is proud to be able to participate in the safety of military personnel, and to contribute to the air sovereignty of European NATO member nations. '
