DRAPER, Utah (AP) _ PROG Holdings, Inc. (PRG) on Wednesday reported third-quarter profit of $57.4 million.

The Draper, Utah-based company said it had profit of 86 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 94 cents per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 88 cents per share.

The rent-to-own company posted revenue of $650.4 million in the period, missing Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $670.9 million.

PROG Holdings expects full-year earnings in the range of $3.90 to $3.99 per share, with revenue in the range of $2.68 billion to $2.7 billion.
