MONTERREY N.L., Mexico (AP) _ Fomento Economico Mexicano SAB (FMX) on Friday reported a second-quarter loss of $501.8 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

The Monterrey N.l., Mexico-based company said it had a loss of $1.42 per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were $1.03 per share.

The Coca-Cola bottler posted revenue of $4.91 billion in the period.

Fomento Economico shares have fallen 36% since the beginning of the year. The stock has declined 34% in the last 12 months.
