The Colonial Motor Company Limited announced unaudited earnings results for the year ended June 30, 2016. For the year, total revenue was $867,237,000 against $789,377,000 a year ago. Trading profit before tax was $28,739,000 against $25,091,000 a year ago. Trading profit before tax was $19,207,000 against $16,326,000 a year ago. Profit for the year was $22,585,000 against $18,705,000 a year ago. Basic and diluted earnings per share on profit after tax were 65.7 cents against 53.8 cents a year ago. Basic and diluted earnings per share on trading profit after tax were 58.7 cents against 49.9 cents a year ago. Net cash flow from operating activities was $38,242 million against net cash used in operating activities of $2,364,000 a year ago.

The Company owns and operates 12 Ford Dealerships with each holding a franchise in its own right from the Ford Motor Company of NZ Ltd. It is involved in the New Zealand (NZ) distribution and retailing of Kenworth and DAF heavy duty trucks, and the retailing of New Holland, Kubota, and Case IH tractors and equipment in Southland. The Company also has car dealerships with brands, such as Suzuki, Nissan, Kia, Hyundai, Isuzu Utes, Peugeot, Citroen and Mahindra, and motorcycle dealerships with Suzuki, Kawasaki, Yamaha, and BMW. It operates primarily in New Zealand. Its subsidiaries include Agricentre South Ltd, Avon City Motorcycles Ltd, Avon City Motors Ltd, Capital City Motors Ltd, Dunedin City Motors Ltd, Energy City Motors Ltd, Energy Motors Ltd, Fagan Motors Ltd, Hutchinson Motors Ltd, Ruahine Motors Ltd, and South Auckland Motors Ltd.
