The National Agricultural Development Company announced the completion of the construction works of the project (Phase 1) by operating 10 MW, and the final phase of the project with a capacity of 30 MW will be completed end of October 2021, then the commercial operation of the project will start at that time. According to the company's preliminary estimates, a decrease in fuel consumption after operating 10 MW in the range of 2,900,000 Liter, which leads to a reduction in energy costs by SAR 740,000, it will begin to appear gradually in the financial results for the fourth quarter of this year. The total expected decrease in fuel consumption after operating the entire project (30 MW) will be around 16,000,000 Liter equivalent to SAR 4,100,000 which will lead to a reduction in the company's energy costs by 4%. Additional savings from the actual usage of the solar panels will be assessed in fourth quarter of 2021 during operating process of the project.
