On July 26, 2019, the company announced an increase in its equity buyback plan. The company will now repurchase up to 1,610,000 shares. The plan has also been extended till July 31, 2020.
The New Germany Fund, Inc. (the Fund) is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund seeks long-term capital appreciation primarily through investment in middle-market German equities. The focus of the Fund's investments lies within Germany. Under normal market conditions at least 80% of the Fundâs net assets are invested in equity or equity-linked securities.
