The Magazine's art and photo teams, including NYT Mag labs, recently won 16 awards from the Art Directors Club, the oldest continuously running industry award show, which celebrates the best in design with a focus on artistry and craftsmanship.

For the fifth year in a row, our visual departments were named Design Team of the Year in this global competition. The Magazine won five gold cubes, four silver cubes and three bronze cubes; and the Mag Labs team won two gold cubes and one silver cube.

'In recent years we've gotten used to Gail Bichler, Kathy Ryan and Deb Bishop winning great honors at these awards,' said Jake Silverstein, editor of the Magazine. 'But that's even more impressive in a year where they had to do it all remotely, with no tables to lay stuff out on, no group reviews, no big office printers at the ready. Remote work has been incredibly difficult for our visual teams. That they continued to perform at this level yet again is a real testament to their dedication and incredible talent.'
