The PAN Group announced that it will publish the results of the "Assessment and announcement of sustainable development businesses 2023" (PANSI), an internal event to measure the level of sustainable development practices of its member companies in April this year. PANSI helps identify risks and opportunities related to environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) issues as well as helps building specific sustainable development goals for each member company.

The PANSI 2023 program was officially launched on November 24, 2023. This is the first year that The PAN Group has implemented this program to assess the sustainable development status of its member companies. The goal is to identify risks and opportunities related to environmental, social, and governance issues. The PANSI 2023 program applies to more than 10 member companies of PAN and will be conducted from 2021 to 2023.

Immediately after the launch, PAN issued the PANSI Sustainable Enterprise Index, a document on sustainable development specific for The PAN Group. PANSI has 122 indicators, including Sustainable Outcomes (21), Environment (25), Labor - Social (54), and Governance (22).

The PANSI index was developed with the advice of the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) under the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI). It helps to identify risks in the management and operation process, thereby establishing business strategies and seizing new opportunities.

Additionally, PAN arranges training for members on how to apply the PANSI index and how to prepare paperwork to take part in the program as part of its internal training program to enhance ESG practices in the company.

PAN organizes training sessions to raise awareness and promote ESG practices following the launch of PANSI

Applications from all PAN member businesses were received by the PANSI 2023 Evaluation Council in February. The Evaluation Council then independently scored the applications based on three primary pillars: Environment (E), Outcome Index (I), and Governance (G); Labor & Social (L&S).

The members of the PANSI Evaluation Council include: Ms. Nguyen Thi Tra My, CEO and Head of The PAN Group Sustainable Development Steering Committee (Chairwoman of the Council); Mr. Nguyen Trung Anh, Director of Sustainable Development and Innovation of PAN (Secretary of the Council).

In addition, the Evaluation Council also includes the participation of experts in assessing corporate sustainable development: Mr. Pham Hoang Hai, Head of Partner Relations, VBCSD-VCCI (member); Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung, Head of Research, VBCSD-VCCI (member); Ms. Tran Thuy Ngoc, Sustainable Development and Climate Change Leader, Deloitte Vietnam (member); Ms. Pham Thi Minh Huong, Deputy Director of Sustainable Development and Climate Change Services, Deloitte Vietnam (member); Ms. Dinh Thi Thu Hoai, Director of DTXD Ltd., and Nhat Ha Trading Company, Vice President of Hanoi Women Entrepreneurs Association (member)

PANSI is expected to be a tool to help PAN Members identify risks and opportunities and build specific Sustainable Development goals.

The results of the PANSI 2023 program will be announced in April 2024, identifying a model of sustainable development practices within the Group and sharing experiences with members in the same ecosystem.

The CEO of PAN, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tra My, reaffirmed that sustainable development is a crucial path towards achieving the Group's global outreach objective.

The Group plans to conduct the PANSI program on a yearly basis starting in 2024 in order to foster a ripple effect and motivate member companies on corporate governance and progress towards sustainable development.
