Timberwell Berhad is engaged in forest management, timber harvesting, marketing and trading of timber and related products in Malaysia. The Company's business divisions include forestry, plantation, trading and property. Its forestry division oversees the timber harvesting and forest regeneration activities of the Company in compliance with the annual work plan approved by the Sabah Forestry Department. The harvested timbers are supplied to other local millers and exported to countries in the Asia region. Its plantation division is engaged in the cultivation of industrial trees of approved species. The indigenous industrial tree plantation species being cultivated includes Laran, Binuang, Jelutung and rubber tree. It is a license-holder of the sustainable forest management license agreement 06/97 granted by the State Government of Sabah covering an area of approximately 71,293 hectares of natural forest in the Lingkabau Forest Reserve, Forest District of Kota Marudu, Sabah.
