PRESS RELEASE

TOSCANA AEROPORTI ON THE DECREE ISSUED BY THE ITALIAN MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT AND INFRASTRUCTURE MARKING THE SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE MASTER PLAN PROCEDURE FOR THE FLORENCE AIRPORT

Florence, April 16, 2019 - Toscana Aeroporti is pleased to learn of the signing of the decree by the Italian Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport signalling the successful completion of the 2014-2029 Master Plan procedure for Florence's Amerigo Vespucci Airport, calling for the construction of a new 2,400-metre runway and a new terminal.

Today's decree marks the conclusion of the authorization procedure for the project - which had began in 2015 -, following the favourable Environmental Impact Assessment awarded on 28 December 2017 and the end of the Service Conference on 6 February 2019.

The Ministry will now submit its decision to Italian Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC) for the ensuing formalities.

"Today's decision marks the definitive conclusion of a four-year authorization procedure that demanded the daily attention of dozens of employees and professionals, to whom I extend my gratitude. This project, which has been awaited for more than 50 years, has now made a final step towards the construction of the new runway and terminal at the Florence airport. This will make it possible to overcome the airport's current structural limits and provide the City of Florence and all of the Tuscany region with strategic infrastructure to meet unfulfilled traffic demand in the local area," stated Chairman of Toscana

Aeroporti Marco Carrai.
