(Alliance News) - Toscana Aeroporti Spa announced Tuesday that the shareholders of Alatoscana Spa, the management company of the Elba Island airport, have defined the governance that will guide the company for the next three years and identified the airport's development guidelines.

In fact, the Shareholders' Meeting, scheduled for April 2, will appoint the new board of directors, which will be composed of Maurizio Serini, who will assume the position of chairman, Massimiliano Dosi as managing director and Francesca Marcucci as board member.

As stated in the press note, the guidelines identified by the shareholders for the development of the airport follow three main lines: the management of territorial continuity and the strengthening of connectivity, the implementation of an investment plan, and the commitment to the realization of a zero-impact airport.

The presence of Toscana Aeroporti as an industrial partner of Alatoscana, with a 13.2 percent share, "will allow the island airport to benefit from the know-how, commercial capacity and network of connections of the Tuscan airports of Pisa and Florence, thus guaranteeing a strengthening of connectivity both with the Tuscan region and with the rest of Europe," the note further reads.

Toscana Aeroporti trades in the red by 0.9 percent at EUR11.70 per share.
