Closure of MEGA WEB in December 2021

Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota) announced today that MEGA WEB, ―A theme park that lets you see, ride, and experience the world of mobility at first hand―, will close on December 31, 2021. The theme park was first opened in March 1999 and has been visited by a total of approximately 127 million people.

MEGA WEB has operated with the goal of enabling people to taste 'the fun of mobility' and understand 'Toyota's philosophy and activities'. We continuously updated its contents to reflect the changes in our surrounding environment.

MEGA WEB will be reborn as a multipurpose arena to be constructed by Towa Real Estate Co., Ltd., a member of the Toyota Group. The arena is scheduled to open in the fall of 2025, and further discussions will be continued with related parties regarding details.

Toyota would like to express their deepest gratitude to all of the stakeholders who have supported MEGA WEB for over 22 years, and is looking forward to seeing you again in the remaining days until the closure.
