TranSwitch Corp. announced that the company is working with InFocus to leverage HDplay(R) technology in several upcoming projectors. TranSwitch's TXC-44152 HDplay transceiver has been selected by InFocus as an enabling video solution for two new projector platforms that will drive the design of several new projector models, with production starts planned by early First Quarter 2014.

InFocus, a global leader in digital display devices, will leverage HDplay's exceptional level of integration to reduce design cost and complexity, while speeding time-to-market. The TXC-44152 transceiver provides two video inputs including a quad-mode input port supporting HDMI 1.4b, DisplayPort 1.2, MHL(TM) 2.0, and Mobility DisplayPort (MyDP) 1.0. The TXC-44152 has been optimized for projectors and pico projectors by providing a 48b LVTTL parallel output enabling video formats up to and including 4K2K and 3DFHD. TranSwitch's HDplay transceivers leverage the Company's unique MHDP(TM) technology to combine HDMI, DisplayPort, MyDP and MHL functionality in a single IC.

This level of integration helps manufacturers reduce design complexity, cost, space requirements and time-to-market. HDplay also utilizes TranSwitch's patented AnyCable(TM) technology, enabling the user to confidently select long and inexpensive cables while maintaining HDMI 1.4 performance.
