Quebecor scores new youth programming
through recent agreement with DHX Media Ltd.

MONTREAL, October 18, 2016 - Quebecor Content announced today that it has strengthened its relationship with Canadian kids' content company DHX Media Ltd. (NASDAQ: DHXM; TSX: DHX.A, DHX.B) to continue to bring the highest quality children's and youth programming to its audiences in Quebec on the Sélection illico, Club illico platforms and Yoopa's channel.

The new agreement covers the recent live action shows The Other Kingdom and Hank Zipzer along with the mega-hit teen show Degrassi: Next Generation, constituting a major contribution to Quebecor's youth line-up. On the animation side, Johnny Test, Strawberry Shortcake: Berry Bitty Adventures and Little People will bolster DHX Media's kid-preferred content already showcased on Quebecor's platforms, such as The Doozers and the ever-popular Caillou. The new agreement brings the total number of DHX Media shows on Quebecor Content's platforms close to 300 episodes of programming.

'Young audiences are not different than older ones, they want the same high-quality and diversified entertainment,' comments Yann Paquet, Vice President of Acquisitions & Partnerships at Quebecor Content. 'We're excited to continue to offer children and teenagers the best shows across all of our platforms by expanding our relationship with a great Canadian content producer such as DHX Media.'

Josh Scherba, SVP Distribution for DHX Media, added: 'We're very pleased that Quebecor Content has expanded the range of DHX Media's kids' and youth shows available on its platforms. Deals such as this illustrate the continued strong demand for our content across multiple demographics in both the animation and live action genres.'
