Unilever went through a major reorganization last year in which Unilever was divided into five groups. These groups in turn have been divided into separate regions that are managed end to end. Within this new set up, the Digital Commerce, Media & Digital Marketing functions have been integrated into a new function: DMC.

The goal is to drive transformation within both marketing and sales, breaking internal silos and ensuring an optimal data-driven consumer journey for our brands across all consumer touchpoints. The integration should lead to better collaboration and acceleration on key topics such as data strategy, content but also holistic media planning.

Pieter Olierook of Unilever, who started a year ago as DMC Lead for Nutrition in Europe, Middle East and Australia/New Zealand, will at Emerce E-Commerce Live the background to this set up, what the new organization looks like and will share the first results.
