WHERE: U. S. STEEL MON VALLEY WORKS - CLAIRTON PLANT

WHEN: NOVEMBER 24, 2012

PITTSBURGH - United States Steel Corporation's Mon Valley Works - Clairton Plant will be conducting work at the facility on November 24, which could result in some visible air emissions including black smoke in the Clairton area. The activity relates to the start-up of the newly constructed C Battery and will take approximately two hours to complete. This work and the possible visible emissions are expected during the startup process related to the new battery.

U. S. Steel has notified and is coordinating with local government and emergency agencies, including the Allegheny County Board of Health.
