V-cube Launches "Zoom Phone", a Cloud-based Phone Service

～Supporting the promotion of work style innovation through the cloud computing of fixed-line phones～

V-cube, Inc. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President, and CEO: Masaya Takada, hereinafter "V- cube") will start selling "Zoom Phone", a voice cloud-based service provided by Zoom Video Communications, Inc. (Head office: San Jose, California, U.S.A., CEO: Eric Yuan) on April 24, 2023. The new service to be offered is "Zoom Phone" (Premispia connection*2), which utilizes an existing phone number (OABJ number*1) to answer representative calls and extensions from landlines, PCs and smartphones with Zoom applications installed, from home or while away, and "Zoom Phone" (Native), which can be used with a new phone number.

With the spread of the COVID19, remote work has been promoted through the spread of tools such as web conferencing, represented by Zoom, for meetings and business negotiations, and the way of working has undergone a major change. On the other hand, there are still issues that need to be addressed in order for remote work to spread, such as the need for employees to take turns coming to the office to answer the telephone for representative calls and inquiries. With the new Zoom Phone, it will be possible to receive and answer calls to representatives and extensions from landlines, PCs and smartphones with the Zoom application installed, with the same high call quality as a Zoom meeting. This makes it possible to answer calls from home or on the road, and of course, receive calls from the office as well. In addition, "Zoom Phone" (Native) does not require the installation of new equipment such as a telephone switchboard in the company, which greatly reduces the man-hours required to install, maintain, and operate the telephone system, and allows for a cost-effective implementation. In addition, it is possible to register new phone numbers as well as to use existing phone numbers.
