(MT Newswires) -- In this interview, Christine Rupp, Chief Customer Officer at Victoria's Secret, and Carrie Tharp, Vice President of Google Cloud, discuss their collaboration to improve the customer experience at the lingerie giant. Christine emphasises that the use of AI is intended to complement the capabilities of its sales staff, rather than replace them. Carrie Tharp also points out that, despite the strong interest in AI, a Census Bureau study reveals that only 4% of companies are using it to create their services and products. But she sees a growing trend, with retailers such as Macy's, The Home Depot and Kroger adopting Vertex AI, the machine learning solution, to optimise their interactions with their customers.
