Vinci SA said on Wednesday that its subsidiary Vinci Construction SAS has won two contracts for design and construction of a city railway in New Zealand for a total of about 485 million euros ($573.4 million).

The French construction and infrastructure company said the contracts are with the City Rail Link line in the city of Auckland. They include construction of two grade-separated junctions, two kilometers of new track, as well as power supply installation, overhead lines, signaling and the control system on the line, Vinci said.

Vinci Construction will work on the contracts as part of a consortium named The Link Alliance, which includes another Vinci subsidiary, Soletanche Bachy International SAS, as well as a partner and three designers.

Delivery of the projects is expected in 2024, together with another railway line extension contract that the consortium signed in 2019, the company said.
