Enerji Limited has appointed energy sector specialist Colin Stonehouse as the company's new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. The appointment comes after the resignation of Greg Pennefather as Managing Director and CEO. Pennefather is the founder and developer of the company's Waste Heat to Power Systems. With Pennefather's experience and strong technical qualifications he has agreed to continue with the company in a consulting capacity.

Stonehouse has been the principal of Ames Associates since 2008 specialising in power project development, feasibility, design and commercialisation. He's a specialist who provides advice and helps implement strategy, governance, due diligence, performance modeling and compliance for power infrastructure owners, buyers and lenders. This has included power procurement, negotiation, commercial arrangements as well as policy, regulation, pricing and economic analysis in electricity markets.

Prior to this his roles included General Manager Power Development and Commercial for Alinta Energy and Manager Strategic Studies for prominent engineering company Sinclair Knight Merz. The resignation and new appointment will be effective from formal commissioning of the company's first WHPS at Horizon Power's Carnarvon Power Station. This is expected within two weeks.
