On April 25, 2024, Walmart Inc announced that it has received a shareholder proposal from The Organization United for Respect, requesting the Company to conduct a 3rd-party, independent racial equity audit analyzing Company?s adverse impacts on Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) communities, and to provide recommendations for improving the company?s racial equity impact. In addition, the Company recommended the shareholders to vote against the shareholder proposal at the annual meeting of shareholders scheduled to be held on June 5, 2024.
