Wizz Air, Europe's fastest growing airline, is pleased to announce that the 3 aircraft joined its modern fleet in Kutaisi. To further support its Georgian operations and mark the occasion, Wizz Air's state-of-the-art Airbus A321 neo aircraft will operate on five newly introduced routes, thus Georgian passengers are now able to travel to Brussels Charleroi, Frankfurt Hahn, Hamburg, Madrid and Poznan from Georgia's third biggest city. Furthermore, the additional capacity allows Wizz Air to increase frequency of its flights from the base to Munich Memmingen, Milan, Paris Beauvais and Prague. The move brings the number of routes from the base to 27, connecting David the Builder Kutaisi International Airport to various destinations in Europe and beyond.

With the third aircraft at the base and the new routes added to the Georgian network, Wizz Air consolidates its leading position in the market as the largest airline operating from Kutaisi. These efforts restate the airline's commitment to offering popular destinations and ultra-low fares to as many passengers as possible, in the most sustainable way and helping more than 160,000 passengers reach their destinations each day in June.

'We are delighted to welcome our third aircraft in Kutaisi less than a year after we celebrated the arrival of the second base aircraft. Witnessing our expansion in the market is thrilling, I am so glad to bring more and more new destinations to our Georgian travelers and being able to connect them with Europe and beyond. With the new aircraft arriving to Kutaisi, we added more than 170.000 additional departing seats from Georgia, while the total number of seats offered grew to over 800.000 by now. I cannot wait to have more occasions like this in the future and share the happiness with our passengers and United Airports of Georgia alike' comments Zsuzsa Trubek, Communications Manager of Wizz Air.

'We are so excited that our strategic partner WIZZ AIR is constantly expanding in Kutaisi International Airport. The United Airports of Georgia is working with the partners to offer quality services to the passengers. We have many ongoing negotiations to attract new destinations and increase the number of existing flights. Today we clearly see the result of a negotiation and strategy that we have done right, and it is very important for us, considering that 27 destinations already count as a full recovery of the number of destinations compared to 2019. In addition, this year will be a historic year because we are expecting more than a million passengers at Kutaisi International Airport, which means a lot for the Georgian aviation market and tourism industry' adds Irakli Karkashadze, Chief Executive Officer of United Airports of Georgia.
